How to choose the suitable grade of Turning insert according to workpieces hardness?

For materials with a low hardness of 20HRC and up to 45 HRC, use PVD and CVD carbide grades.

For hardness from 45 HRC and up to 60 HRC, recommend use Ceramic grades.

For higher hardness materials from 55HRC and up to 70HRC, will request PCBN grades.
